Successful tender with Nillumbik Shire Council - Practically Green, for events and bulk buy in 2020
Many people want to act on climate change but don't know where to start. At Clean Energy Nillumbik we are working to build knowledge and connections within the community to take action. The feedback we received from Sustainable House Day and Speed Date a Sustainability Expert last year showed how helpful those events were in informing and inspiring people to action (see the article below). In partnership with Nillumbik Shire Council (under the Practically Green program) and Renew we will again run those events this year and expand the offering with a community bulk buy of reverse cycle heating/cooling units, and a sustainability hub at the Eltham Rotary festival. Here’s what we have planned:
September 20 Sustainable House Day Nillumbik Trail
October 17 Speed Date a Sustainability Expert
November The Re-imagine Re-think Re-energise hub at Eltham Festival
A bulk purchase of energy efficient appliances for home and work – there’s more to life than solar you know!
Some spectacular art featuring some of our most problematic waste products
If you're interested in participating in one of the events or would like to join Clean Energy Nillumbik as a member or volunteer contact CEN at secretary@cleanenergynillumbik.org.au We’re looking for active and enthusiastic Nillumbik residents and business owners who can help us with all the events above. There are lots of jobs so we’ll match you to a task that fits with your interests, skills and time available.
